Hi, I’m Dr. CHristina Holmquist, ND.

Naturopathic medicine has been life-changing for me and I’d love to show you how it can also be that for you. I’m fascinated by the inter-connectedness of the many systems in the human body and how they work together to create a state of health or disease.

I take a big picture approach to health and wellness and aim to identify and treat the root cause of disease. This includes aiming for optimal function and vitality not just settling for “normal”. I take great care in listening to my patient’s stories and prioritizing their goals and needs. Learning from traditional healers and paying attention to evidence informed medical information are both dear to my heart and I love to work with other health care providers to address disease and support optimal health.

My Approach

  1. Assess overall wellness including primary concerns as well as mood, sleep, digestion, energy and menstrual health (for my female patients). May include lab work when it is helpful to find the root cause.

  2. Remove obstacles to cure: this may include things like stress management, cultivating good sleep habits, strategies for increasing nutrient rich foods, incorporating moderate and attainable activity levels, reducing exposure to chemicals present in food and household products. All depending on patient motivation and the things that contribute most to the presenting symptoms.

  3. Targeted treatments for the primary concerns: these can include herbal formulas, supplements, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and meal plans/targeted food recommendations.

  4. Referral to additional health care providers when necessary.
